I needed time off work to spend some more summer days with my family but sure wish it were warmer out. I wish I would have realized that the time we would be "home" near our parents was when my dad and brother were in Canada for their annual fishing trip. On Wednesday we headed to baybeach in Green Bay. Bella loves it there and has so much fun on the kiddie rides. After each ride, we would take turns getting her unbuckled and out and she would say " what's next?" I love her excitement and she always tells us that "I a happy child" It just melts my heart and makes me feel like we are doing a good job as parents :)
Thursday we took the kids for a walk to the park and as usual, had a very difficult time pulling Bella from the slide. Connor just loves the baby swings and he is so cute when he laughs and smiles when we push him in the swing. We went out for supper with my mom and inlaws and had a nice time and then the kids and I went grocery shopping with my mom while Mike got ready to go fishing the next morning. I am so jealous that Econo has baby carts for the kids to push because we sure can't find anything like that around here! Bella had quite the time playing "little mommy" and pushing her cart and adding things to it when gammy wasn't looking ( dora spaghettios)
Friday my mom had to go into work so I hung out with the kids and we stayed in our jammies pretty much all day. It was so cold outside for being the middle of july. We went for a walk down the driveway and picked gammy some daisys and had a little craft time. We also found some raspberries that were ripe enough to eat! around supper, popps and uncle Sammy came back from Canada and my little peanut was SOOOO excited to see them!!
Saturday we just relaxed around the house and went back to the grocery store so she could show popps how she pushes the baby cart and to Walmart. She talked popps into buying her a Dora backpack and gammy bought her some princess underwear. We are so proud of how well she is doing with potty training :)
On Sunday I took a few pictures with her Dora backpack before church. She looks like she is headed to school ! :( Sunday was actually the warmest day of the entire week so we hung out and played outside in the yard and then went to the park. Bel just adores animals so we took her to Miss Pucci's house who is a friend of the family. She has * I think* 9 cats. Even Connor loved to play with the cats :) For supper we had a nice fish fry with the fish they caught in Canada and then we packed up and headed back. It was a very nice week :)
