Busy past 2 weeks.

I planned a day of vacation for Tuesday 8/4, and it's a good thing I did because we ended up taking Bella to her dr because she had yellow gunk in her eye. The dr finally fit us in his schedule and took one look and said, she has pink eye. We drove back right away instead of doing something fun for the day because we wanted to pick up her prescribed eye drops right away. First stop was to the mall because we found out insurance will cover Mike's wedding band that he lost while fishing over 4th of July weekend. Funny thing is that the place where we got it had no records on file for either of our bands and the sales lady was extremely rude, not to mention they didn't have the exact one he wanted. We walked across the hall and had much better service and he even found his same EXACT ring! We were especially excited when the lady said she could bill our insurance and we could pay our $100 deductible and take the ring home that day (since it fit him) !! We took Bella to coldstone for icecream after she was a brave girl getting her drops in.

Wednesday we did our usual hang out by the lake and park day. It was beautiful weather and we had so much fun. We usually bring Connor's push toy since he loves walking with it.

By the time we headed up north for the weekend Connor was showing signs of pink eye as well so just to be safe, we called in some drops for him too. The kids had a great time hanging out with gammy and popps for the weekend. Every weekend, Bella takes a trip to the dollar store with my mom and she picks out some toys. She is always so proud to show us what she got when they return! Sunday night we headed back home but came back Tuesday after work. I took the rest of the week off and so Mike could get ready for the wedding, pick up his tux, hang out with friends.

Wednesday I hung out with the kids in the pool and took walks to pick raspberries. It was such a relaxing day. Then later that night my parents watched the kids and we went to hang out with some friends for a bit.

Thursday we headed over to the inlaws for a bit and then went to pick up Mike's suit for the wedding. In the afternoon we took the kids to Alex's parents house to go swimming and hang out with the rest of the wedding party. It was so hot out but we all had fun.

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner and so we all got dressed up and headed out for that. It is so nice to see everyone!

Saturday I brought Bella to the wedding with me. Beautiful wedding even though she slept through it, which is unlike her because she loves this kind of stuff. She looked so cute in her dress. She refused to come to the dinner with me and wanted to hang out with gramma instead. My mom brought the kids later though and they had a good time dancing...especially Bel, she is our dancing machine!! It was a great wedding except for an incident with my dear husband that involved a trip to the emergency room and stitches. The next morning was ok and things are fine with all of us. I truly realized that I have great, caring friends. My parents took the kids for a day out (which involved Bel's two favorite places of course: dollar store and walmart)

Monday I knew I should take a sick day since not only did I have an excruciating headache, I was worried about stitches and the pain meds so we stayed at my parents house. I made supper and we left to come back home shortly after. It was an exhausting weekend.

Wednesday, 7/22 We all went to Toys R Us and Bella picked out a big girl bike with training wheels! On Tuesday I had the brilliant idea of looking at bikes online for her not knowing that she would be looking over my shoulder for an hour screaming with excitement and wanting to stare at it for hours! We found a really cute one that is white and purple and actually is called a "Bella bike." It even says Bella on the little carrier bag on front of the bike. That is the one she was bound and determined to get as we walked into Toys R Us on Wednesday afternoon but she quickly changed her mind when she saw a Dora bike. Daddy took 3 or 4 off the display and she tried them all out and it was so cute that he was teaching her how to work the pedals because it is quite different than the pedals on her tricycle. Needless to say, we talked her into the "Bella bike" for fear that her deep love for Dora the Explorer would diminish in the next year or so. :)

Then we picked out a Dora Helmet complete with matching knee pads and a Dora doll for the bath. Yeah, she likes Dora!

As soon as we arrived home, she and daddy worked on practicing riding even though the bike is supposed to be from Santa ;) She looked so cute and big on her new bike.

Friday we got to my parents house and Mike left to go camping with one of his friends whom he never sees due to the driving distance. It was awful weather so the kids and I just hung out with gammy and popps and had fun.

Saturday it poured all day so we made some cookies. We made peanut butter cookies and m&m cookies. Peanut always likes to do the mixing of the ingredients and she takes great pride in baking. I think she may become our little chef :) She even had some time to frollick in the rain because it was warmer on Sunday! I just think her raincoat and boots are the cutest thing ever.

Monday, 7/27 I was so excited to watch the finale of the Bachelorette. In the end, I am really glad Jillian chose Ed. Tuesday I chose to work late because I have had some vacation time and although it is paid, I still figured I might as well work longer since I won't be at work most of the week. After work I hurried home to watch the Bachelorette "after the final rose" and am glad they are still together.

Wednesday was really nice out but the kids and I laid around all morning waiting for daddy to get back from his interview. When he got back we went to the lake and walked around the zoo for the rest of the afternoon. The water was pretty cold so we took a walk around the lake afterwards. Thursday I worked and then rushed to the mall for the big sale at babygap. The kids strictly only need fall and winter clothes so that is what I did...found some awesome things!! Later that night my sister-in-law Shannon came through town and picked them up to head home. I hate being by myself at night but I was ok knowing that Bella and Connor were going to have a blast playing with cousins Ellie and Jake. Friday they went to the DeYoung zoo and swimming and from what I hear it was pretty cool and she loved the animals.

Saturday I went to a babyshower for my friend Krista and was excited to see everyone. I am excited for Krista and Brent and to find out what the mystery/nameless baby will be :) Later that night a few of us and the husbands when out to supper at Romagnoli's while my mom watched the kids. Reminds me of how badly we really want to move back towards home. We miss all of our "couples friends" and now that everyone has/ is having babies, it is so much more fun. Sunday we picked LOADS of raspberries at Aderman's house. They are ten times better than the ones my parents have in the driveway. After my dad and Sam got home from camping, we grilled out and made a raspberry pie...so yummy! Before bed we watched "A haunting in Connecticut" with Sam and Ashley and then woke up early and headed back home.
